Alder Hey is a very special organisation.  We care for over 200,000 children a year mostly at our main site in West Derby, Liverpool as well as from a range of community and hospital outreach settings across the North West of England, Wales and the Isle of Man.  We are one of only four specialist children's trusts in England,  a highly complex but high-performing organisation providing the full range of clinical specialties from A&E to community and mental health services. 

These appointments offer the opportunity to join a talented unitary Board with a strong track record of delivery, and to directly contribute to the continued success of the Trust as we seek to achieve our ambitious vision for the benefit of children, young people and their families. 

You could not be joining us at a more interesting or critical time.  To succeed you will need significant strategic board level experience and an excellent understanding of complex organisations operating in a financially challenging context.  We are looking for two individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, one with experience of leading digital, technological or service transformation which delivers commercial impact; and the other with experience of leading transformational change through people with a focus on workforce health and well-being
